1) Where can I download the Desktop Alert program?

Solution: There are icons on the home page of WOWT.com, as well as the weather page and our Reminders Board stating, "Desktop Alert. Click to download." If your browser doesn't display those icons, simply click here to reach the download page. Non-display of the download icons can be due to running ad-blocking software on your PC. Popular programs like AdSubtract, AdMuncher and Norton Utilities can cause this to happen.

2) I get an error message when clicking on the download icon. The display says, "page cannot be found."

Solution: Temporarily disable any firewall software, like Zone Alarm, that you have on your PC.

3) I click OK to open file and nothing happens.

4) I've successfully downloaded the program but I get an error message saying, " WS2_32.dll file can't be found."

Solution: This is caused on Windows 95 machines, when the Winsock 2.0 Update hasn't been loaded yet. Click here to get that update from Microsoft.
