Consumers are about to see a big drop in the price of televisions as we head into the holiday shopping season.
Research shows starting in October...prices will bottom out about 12% lower than one year ago.
On Black Friday last year...32-inch LCD televisions were going for about $250...this year deals could fall just under $200
The forecasted price plunge stems from an enormous surplus of LCDs that have accumulated over the first nine months of the year.
Once big discounts start hitting retailers, demand for new televisions will jump up aggressively so consumers should act fast as prices are expected to rebound after the new year.
