A man who teaches juvenile offenders is on paid administrative leave after being arrested at the Sedgwick County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The Wichita Eagle reported that law enforcement officers booked the teacher into the Sedgwick County Jail on Thursday on suspicion of traffic of contraband in a correctional facility by an employee, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The director of corrections for the county says the teacher was in the school area of the facility when he was arrested.
A Sheriff's Office report says a clear baggie containing a "green botanical substance" was seized. Authorities also found a pipe with residue and narcotic pills in a yellow container.
