Vacant Apartment Used to Grow Pot

Omaha police received a tip from a 911 call Tuesday evening, of a burglary in progress. But they found something else going on at the apartment.

The 911 call came in at 6:51 p.m., a report that a man was trying to break into a basement window of an apartment near 10th & Bancroft.

When officers arrived, they found there had been forced entry. However, nobody was inside.

What they did find was 10 marijuana plants growing in the apartment. The investigation into who was using the vacant apartment continues.
