Jim Robinson had a stormy meeting with the owner of Storm Restoration Company but skies were clearing between them Monday.
Jim said, “I’m satisfied he came back and done the job right.”
Six On Your Side contacted the roofing contractor after Fremont’s City building inspector said the Robinson’s new roof didn’t meet code.
Contractor Jeremiah Childers returned to bring the work up to code and add additional gutters for the homeowner’s trouble.
Childers’ said, “I think everyone makes mistakes. But as long as you take your call back seriously and get the customer taken care of, you’ll be alright.”
Fremont’s building inspector Marve Hansen said the roof finally passed inspection.
Hansen said, “That’s the way it’s supposed to be done so it worked out in the end.”
Jim Robinson and his wife are retired and living on a fixed income so they couldn’t afford to pay more after the insurance check paid for one roof.
