People gathered Tuesday to learn new ways to protect their families and neighborhoods in Sarpy County.
On Tuesday night, the Bellevue Police Department held a Neighborhood Watch meeting. It is one of two meetings held every year. The Police Chief says vigilant people, who watch out for their neighbors, are crucial to solving crimes.
"These days, it's more important than ever because it seems like there are so many things going on," said Larry Scott of Bellevue. "But, in our neighborhood we really haven't had a lot of problems."
If anyone is interested in joining a Neighborhood Watch program, they should call their local police department.
