The Open Door Mission is celebrating Father’s Day in style and with a special baseball themed party.

Volunteers from Bellevue’s Calvary Christian Church served the men of the mission an All-American brunch in honor of father’s day.

For many of the men Father’s Day is a difficult time; they are disengaged from family and may not have had a positive male role model in their lives.

Candace Gregory says, “Today is just about loving on our men and treating them special, letting them know they are loved and combining that with the College World Series type of spirit.”

The baseball theme carried on down to the decorations and table ware.

Everything from the food to the decorations was donated to the Open Door Mission including 300 tickets to the CWS.
