He was in the Channel Six lobby for all of 45 seconds. It was just enough time to shake his hand and thank him for his generosity to a special needs child who had his Ipad ripped off in a burglary.

The viewer didn't say much after emailing the station to ask if anyone had replaced Landon Ladwig's Ipad. That email came after the family home near 78th & Cass Streets was burglariezed the first time. "They came back again and splintered the same back door," Brandy Ladwig said describing a second break-in. This time the suspect was scared off by the new alarm the family had installed.

Ladwig was moved by the donation to her son, "Especially when you've been broken into twice, you just don't think there's anything good left out there. But there is and that's fantastic, we're very grateful."
