It's as close as anyone has come to getting their hands on a burglary suspect that has ripped off more than a dozen small businesses in Millard.

Barbara Hansen and her husband stopped by their business and storage area just off South 137th & Millard Ave after a warning from friends. "They told us that three of the businesses right over there were all hit," said Hansen. The three businesses she referenced include The Pool Doctor where a safe was ripped apart and thousands of dollars in cash and other valuables were stolen.

The call was enough to convince the couple to check on their business. "It was about 4:30 a.m. when I heard him trying to pry his way through this window," recalled Hansen.

When she turned the lights on the suspect took off. "I walked out the front door and saw him. I gave the description to police."
