String of Southwest Omaha Burglaries

Whoever broke into to Dave Eerie's lot didn't feel pressure to work quickly. "They took their time and I think there was a bunch of them, almost like one of those flash mobs," said Eerie.

Eerie is the owner of InPhase Car Audio at 13428 L Street in Omaha. He also owns a nearby, fenced in lot where there are cars and trailers stored and some for sale. Thieves made their way into that lot and ended up driving away in a stolen van that was loaded with Rene' Szalay's modified ski equipment. "These guys didn't even realize what they have. To them it's just a pair of skis but my wife and I, who are planning on taking our kids on a ski trip to Tahoe, new we're scrambling," said Szalay.

There were other small businesses hit in the area on that night. Watch the video to see Eerie walk us through their method of entry and the other targets that thieves left behind.
