She put up a "For Rent" sign and thieves broke in. Weeks later Darci Van Skike decided to sell her home but she can't do it the conventional way.
"If we put up a For Sale sign you might as well tell people that nobody's home," said Van Skike.

The Omaha newlywed is now living with her husband and trying to sell the house that she bought "as a good investment" five years ago.

The suspects who broke in the second time took appliances incuding a washer, dryer and stove. "I just don't know how much more of this can I take," said Van Skike. "Most of the people in the neighborhood are wonderful but a few thieves really make it tough."
