Claudie Laizure was walking towards his house as the thief was walking out, carrying his television. "I started to go after him but that's when he pulled out his gun," recalls Laizure.

"Im like dude, that's probably not even real and so he proceeds to show me that it is real and so I tell him there ain't no need for that," said Laizure. "He apologized and offered to put my stuff back but he ended up leaving and doing it to someone else immediately after."

The crime spree is happening in the area of 34th and Grant, just west of Salem Baptist Church. Laizure's house has been in his family for decades and most of his neighbors have lived there for nearly as long.
The one house that is vacant is where police found stolen items, it's right next door to Laizure's home. "I told the officers to go look over there, I think he was squatting."

Officers did secure a number of stolen items from other burglaries but that armed suspect remains at large.
