The risk certainly doesn't equal the reward but that isn't stopping a thief from stripping the copper wiring out of light poles at area parks and softball fields.
In September we reported on a theft of copper from the softball complex in La Vista and now two in Omaha have reported burglaries.
Hefflinger Park had access panels ripped open on light poles and copper wiring stripped. Kelly Fields also reported a burglary to Omaha Police.
