Dog bite injures girl.
A page just after 1pm Sunday was for a 9-year-old girl bitten by a dog. The 911 dispatch relayed that the child suffered facial injuries and was being driven to the hospital. Plattsmouth Police responded to the vehicle near Burger King and reports said the officer arriving first on scene was able to get the bleeding under control. Plattsmouth EMS transported the girl to Bellevue Medical Center.
The Cassgram reports the biting incident apparently happened in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue and the dog involved was identified. The Plattsmouth Humane Department responded along with a police officer to investigate the biting incident.
The humane officer took the dog to the animal shelter where it is being held in 10-day quarantine.
