Moments earlier a neighbor spotted suspicious activity in the alley near their home at 49th & California. They called 911 and Omaha Police were dispatched.

Police say 36 year-old John Therkildsen then jumped into a minivan and drove away from the scene, leading them on a pursuit through front yards and Dundee neighborhood streets.

OPD let Therkildsen off the hook once ABLE 1 Officer Brian Yaghoutfam established contact, indicating he was tracking the suspect from the air.
