Omaha police confirm Jose Robledo is now behind bars. He was wanted for for threatening to kill his ex-wife. The incident took place in May of 2007 and police say Robledo failed to show up for his court appearance.

The victim told police that Robledo, her ex-husband, showed up at her home, displayed a rifle and threatened to kill her. She was treated for injuries that she told police she suffered when her ex-husband choked her and hit her before leaving.

Police say Robledo was also a passenger in a car that was stopped last December at 23rd and Martha. Inside the car, police say they found large amounts of cocaine and marijuana along with a scale and money.

According to Police, Robledo failed to appear in court on felony charges of terroristic threats and attempted unlawful possession with intent to deliver.

Honestly there are two sides to a story. I had a very abusive ex husband but in light of that he actually did hit me and was arrested there was hard core proof. All he did was supposedly threaten his ex and my ex actually beats me and only spent 2 weeks in jail that is plain messed up on the legal systems part. I can't even getting a restraining order on my ex even though they have pictures proving the judge says there is not enough evidence I think it is bull my ex gets a slap on the wrist yet someone only threatens someone and he is arrested how messed up.

i bet that most of you that are being so rude to a person you dont even know are not even trying to change our community and non of you know the full story behind this person and still you make false acusations of this person you dont know him and you dont understand what happened he is in pain because people like you dont have anything better to do but to put down people and i know why you do that, you do that because you are to frieghtend to stand up but you can talk behind someones back so why wont you stop talking like you are doing something for our youth stop talking like your better then him and start contributing for good dont be negitive avoid that pray for him pray so that he changes his ways pray so that he does something good pray so he finds salvation pray so he has the courage to turn himself in because you dont know when your going to need someone to pray for you and karma does exsists and everything in this life gets paid in one way or an other so avoid the negitive

They don't even say his name is Israel. He isn't a good guy and I found out first hand. He's a liar, probably a gang member, a thief and a cheat. He comes off as a sweet guy but he's all about himself. He posted like 16,000 dollar bail and he should've never got out to begin with.

I think the X is lying I know Israel and is almost a part of the family and he is a very sweet guy.

Why ARE we hearing about this or being asked to help 18 months after incident #1 and 11 months after incident #2? I'm curious as to why the police didn't take Robledo to Central Station regarding the death threat charge when they had him in a car eight months after the threat/failure to appear? To make the police look competent, all of the details should be in the story so we don't have to "piece" the puzzle together for ourselves. And I'm not an OPD basher. One of my best friends is an OPD detective.

AL- the police got their guy. I believe it is the courts that are the problem here. I think you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction. But if you feel you could do a better job, by all means go apply to become a police officer.

He knew the broken system would let him out - he probably walked out the door after this picture. He is looking left at the door in the photo. "click - see ya"

I'm pretty sure the cops didn't let this guy go. You need to talk to the courts, they are the ones in charge of setting bonds and deciding who gets bond. The cops just round the bad guys up.

Let me get this straight, 18 months ago this guy threatened his wife and a month after that was found in a car with drugs. 17 months go by and you trusted him to show up in court? How broken is this system? Why wasn't he at least in court before now to answer the drug charge, let alone the death threat? He's had at least 18 months to carry out that threat and the Police are just worrying about it now! Why should anyone call the Police to let them know where he is, the Police haven't cared for 18 months and then broadcast it like this whole situation was out of OPD's control? What kind of law enforcement are the Police really providing? It does not seem like much protection at all for this poor woman or society in general by keeping the people connected with drugs off of the street once they catch them!
