A felony warrant has been issued for the arrest of Richard Sanford for theft, unlawful taking over $1,500.

Police were advised in August that Sanford had stolen and pawned over $3,700 worth of tools belonging to his employer.

He was in possession of a company van and was expected to return to the company shop at the end of his shift. Sanford never returned.

Sanford called his employer and said that he had pawned the tools in the van to get money for drugs. He said he left the van in front of Sol’s Pawn Shop at 514 North 16th Street. The van and tools were recovered.

Sanford is 42 years old, 6-foot and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have information about Sanford, call the Fugitive Task Force at 444-4916 or 444-5815.
