Weather and Travel Issues Force Jays' Baseball Out of Lamar Tournament

Weather Related Travel Complications have forced the Creighton Baseball team to cancel its trip to Beaumont, Texas to play in the Lamar YMBL Cardinal Classic (Feb. 22-24).

OMAHA, Neb. - Weather Related Travel Complications have forced the Creighton Baseball team to cancel its trip to Beaumont, Texas to play in the Lamar YMBL Cardinal Classic (Feb. 22-24).

Due to flight difficulties and weather related delays, the Creighton Baseball team was unable to travel to Beaumont, Texas on the originally scheduled flight for Thursday morning.

The Jays attempted to find alternate flights to arrive in Beaumont as quickly as possible, however the Jays were unable to reschedule participation in the YMBL Cardinal Classic.

Head coach Ed Servais has been actively searching for alternate games since it became clear that participation in the YMBL Cardinal Classic was in doubt.

"We've got calls into three or four other teams and hope to hear something later this afternoon," said Servais. "We remain hopeful that we can still play at least two games this weekend."
