The Nebraska and Iowa athletic departments announced Tuesday afternoon that the men’s basketball game between the two schools scheduled for Thursday night in Lincoln has been moved to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The move was prompted by the winter storm expected to hit the upper Midwest and was announced in advance for the safety of student-athletes, fans and game-day personnel. Saturday’s date was available for both teams as Thursday’s scheduled 8 p.m. match-up was the only game of the week for both Nebraska and Iowa.

Fans who had purchased tickets for the originally scheduled Thursday game can use those tickets for Saturday’s contest. The game was originally scheduled to be on ESPN2 and television information for Saturday’s rescheduled game will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
