CU Women Take Bradley From Downtown 79-67
The Creighton women used an 18-4 run late in the first half to take control of the game and go on to defeat Bradley 79-67 Sunday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena.

The Creighton women used an 18-4 run late in the first half to take control of the game and go on to defeat Bradley 79-67 Sunday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena.

The Bluejays (15-4, 7-1 Missouri Valley Conference) drained 14 three-pointers in the game. Marissa Janning led the way with 21 points, including three threes. Alley Jensen added 12 points on four three-pointers.

The opening half was a seesaw battle as Creighton led 15-10, but the Braves (7-11, 1-6 MVC) responded with a 20-10 run to take a 27-22 edge with 5:10 to go. The Jays' run in the final minutes of the half gave them a 43-33 lead with :41 remaining. It was 43-37 CU at halftime.

Catie O'Leary topped Bradley with 13 points.
