The United States women’s volleyball team with former Husker Jordan Larson finished with the silver medal Saturday as Team USA was upset by Brazil 3-1 (11-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17) at the London Olympic Games.

Brazil rallied after the first set to dominate the final three sets and bring home a second-consecutive Olympic title. It was the Americans' only loss of the tournament.

Larson tallied four kills and four points for the United States. Destinee Hooker, the second-best scorer in London and the star of the top-ranked U.S. team, was held to 14 points.

The Americans started out strong in the first set, dominating the Brazilians with a .440 attack efficiency. The United States rallied in the second set to tie the match at 12, but the Brazilians unleashed a 6-0 run to take command.

Team USA’s blocking would falter in the third set and a pair of errors by the Americans kept Team USA from gaining any momentum. Brazil never trailed in the fourth set as the United States could not recover and the Brazilians took the title.

The United States earned silver for the third time as the Americans also lost to Brazil in 2008 and fell to China at the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
