The Storm Chasers scored four runs in the first inning and led 7-0 after three en route to a 10-4 win at Round Rock Friday night.
Irving Falu got things going with a single and took second on a balk by Neftali Feliz (0-1). Johnny Giavotella walked and Wil Myers reached on an error by second baseman Luis Hernandez to load the bases. Clint Robinson grounded out to force in the first run. Tony Abreu singled home a run and David Lough grounded out for another score. A Feliz wild pitch sent Abreu to third and he scored on a single by Anthony Seratelli.
Clint Robinson singled to lead off the third. Feliz retired the next two batters, but Seratelli singled home Robinson. Mitch Maier singled Seratelli to second. Adam Moore singled in Seratelli and Falu hit a ground-rule double to plate Maier.
In the fifth, a Maier walk, Falu single and Giavotella single gave Omaha an 8-0 lead. The Express scored two in the fifth on back-to-back sac flies and two in the sixth on a home run by Brad Nelson.
Omaha scored in the seventh on a Falu double and Giavotella single and added another run in the ninth on Seratelli’s 15th home run of the season.
Falu finished 4-for-6 with an RBI and two runs scored. Seratelli was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Every Omaha batter had at least one hit except for Lough. The Storm Chasers out-hit Round Rock 15-5.
Nathan Adcock (5-3) went seven innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out three and walking three.
