Just a few days after the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials ended in Omaha, there is already another big swim meet taking its place. The U.S. Masters Summer National Swimming Championships are being held at the Century Link Center this weekend.

We found a couple from Nebraska who are not letting their age stop them from competing in the Olympic pool.

The U.S. Masters Summer National Swimming Championships have attracted more than a thousand swimmers including Ken and Carol Deman.

Ken is 73 and a retired machinist. Carol is 71 and a former court clerk.

Retirement has not slowed down the couple. They compete in triathlons and decided to enter the 800 meter freestyle, which is 16 lengths of the pool.

Ken and Carol have been married for 51 years. Their active lifestyle may be the best advice for a long and happy marriage.
