Omaha Wins A Wild One 8-7
The Storm Chasers spotted Albuquerque an early three-run lead, came back to a take a four-run lead only to see the Isotopes rally to tie the game before breaking the deadlock and holding on for an 8-7 win Saturday night at Werner Park.

The Storm Chasers spotted Albuquerque an early three-run lead, came back to a take a four-run lead only to see the Isotopes rally to tie the game before breaking the deadlock and holding on for an 8-7 win Saturday night at Werner Park.

The Isotopes jumped on Nathan Adcock for three first-inning runs. Trent Oeltjen singled, took second on a wild pitch and went to third after Alex Castellanos’ flied out to right. Josh Fields walked and Jerry Sands doubled in Oeltjen. Luis Cruz also doubled to score Fields and Sands.

The Storm Chasers responded with two runs in the home first. With two outs, Wil Myers singled and scored on a on a Clint Robinson double. Tony Abreu then singled home Robinson.

Omaha took a 4-3 lead in the second inning. Max Ramirez homered and Cody Clark reached on a bunt single, advanced to second on a ground out and scored on a Chris Getz single.

The scoring continued in the third as Abreu led off with a single and took third when Lough reached on throwing error by shortstop Cruz. Seratelli reached on an error by second baseman Castellanos that allowed Abreu to score. After Ramirez flied out, Clark singled in Lough. Derrick Robinson flied out, but Getz singled home Seratelli and Omaha was up 7-3.

Albuquerque tied it in the fourth. Tim Federowicz, Matt Angle and Brian Cavazos-Galvez singled to load the bases. The hit parade continued as Tyler Henson singled to score Federowicz and keep the bases full. Oeltjen’s double cleared the bases and knocked Adcock out of the game. He was replaced by Blaine Hardy (3-1).

In the fifth, Bret Montgomery (1-1) replaced Will Savage and struck out Seratelli, who made it to first safely on Montgomery’s third strike wild pitch. Seratelli stole second, moved to third on Ramirez’s fly to right and came in on Clark’s sac fly to give Omaha the 8-7 edge.
