The Storm Chasers took a 5-0 lead, then Wil Myers capped the game off with a three-run home run in an 8-3 win over New Orleans Friday night at Werner Park.

Omaha broke a scoreless tie in the fourth. Johnny Giavotella walked and stole second. After Myers popped out to first, Clint Robinson singled home Giavotella. Tony Abreu followed with a single as did David Lough to load the bases. Anthony Seratelli then singled in Robinson and Abreu.

Dan Jennings replaced Alex Sanabia (6-6) on the mound and struck out Max Ramirez, but Kevin Kouzmanoff singled to right to score Lough and put Omaha up 4-0. Lough greeted reliever Robert Ray in the sixth with a triple and scored on Seratelli’s sacrifice fly to make it 5-0.

Ryan Verdugo replaced Omaha starter Doug Davis (4-1) to begin the seventh and surrendered singles to Luke Montz and Chris Aguila before Matt Dominguez hit his seventh homer of the year to cut the lead to 5-3.

The Storm Chasers got those runs back in the bottom of the seventh as Derrick Robinson and Giavotella singled. Rob Delaney replaced Ray and Myers took him deep to left for his 13th of the season for an 8-3 lead.
