Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said Wednesday school presidents will be presented more than one possible format to determine a college football national champion.
Scott said the presidential oversight committee will "have options - plural" to choose from when they meet in two weeks. Scott spoke before leaving a meeting with conference commissioners and Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick.
Scott declined to detail those options, but the commissioners have been working on ways to hold a four-team major college football playoff since January.
He said the commissioners will "recommend different options" to the university presidents. He would not say if the so-called "plus-one," which instead of creating national semifinals simply sets the No. 1 vs. No. 2 title game after the bowls have been played, is still on the table.
