Storm Chasers Split Doubleheader With Iowa
The Cubs won game one of Thursday's doubleheader with the Storm Chasers, 4-1 at Werner Park, but Omaha came back to win the nightcap 10-1.

The Cubs won game one of Thursday's doubleheader with the Storm Chasers, 4-1 at Werner Park, but Omaha came back to win the nightcap 10-1.
Iowa took a 1-0 lead in the third inning of game one as Matt Tolbert doubled and Brett Jackson followed with an RBI single to right. The Storm Chasers tied it in the bottom of the third. Derrick Robinson walked and later scored on Clint Robinson’s single.
The Cubs went up 2-1 in the fifth on Jackson’s sacrifice fly scoring Dave Sappelt. They would add two more runs in the seventh inning. Luis Valbuena and Ty Wright each walked with the bases loaded.
Ryan Rowland-Smith (2-0) got the win and Sean O'Sullivan (4-4) took the loss.
