Nebraska earned a third-place finish in the final Big Ten standings with a 4-1 victory over Wisconsin Saturday afternoon at Bowlin Stadium.

The Huskers finish the regular season with a 33-22 record, 15-1 at home. The Huskers were 14-9 in conference play. The Badgers fell to 34-19 and dropped to 13-10 in the Big Ten.

Ashley Hagemann (23-17) fired a three-hitter, allowing only one run and striking out six. Cassandra Darrah (22-13) took the loss, allowing four runs on three hits in 3.2 innings. None of the runs were earned as Wisconsin committed two errors.

Nebraska jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a two-out rally in the bottom of the first. Ashley Guile reached on an error and scored on a double by Brooke Thomason.

In the fifth, a pair of walks, a sacrifice and a stolen base put runners on second and third with two outs. Tatum Edwards hit a ground ball to short, but Stephanie Peace's throw was dropped by Michelle Mueller at first, allowing two runs to score. Mattie Fowler then drove in pinch-runner Jordan Bettiol with a double to put NU up 4-0.

Wisconsin answered in the sixth with back-to-back doubles to cut the lead to 4-1.
