And he's still a quitter. He quit the NFL twice because no one wanted him as a quarterback. He might have won the Heisman but I doubt that's paying the bills these days...

i remember devoted husker fans called eric crouch a quitter when he was upset about not being number one on the depth chart a few years ago.

the greatest honor in sports is to be the husker running back. he is walking away from immortality. once at nu you owe your life to the husker nation. he will regret this for the rest of his life.

My sentiments exactly. Go, cry-baby...and don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

First off I glad they didnt restrict him like most colleges do I think thats messed up when colleges do that. Rex is a cool ruunning back but they really should be developing those other 2 rb's amd secondly did you as a grown man just call Burkhead Sexy Rex??? I know its a nickname but c'mon son really?

This will start a snowball effect. Fine if you're given a chance but what about Carnes and hime at least getting mop up duty, or Jamal Turner and giving him the ball at least 2 or 3 times a game. You can't go out and get these 4 and 5 star recruits and then expect them just to sit until their senior year and not play. Its not 1970!!! A QB will be next to leave since the ALMIGHTY Martinez is the only QB given a chance to start. Wonder what Martinez's Dad has on the Husker Program????

Not every kid is happy if he isn't starting or maybe just plain homesick. I am glad they aren't restricting him from leaving like some schools have when players want to leave.

IMO, this kid is a quiter and is a lil cry baby. Reports are saying he is going to OU or TCU, I dont think he understands that playing time is EARNED not handed out to whoever has more recruiting stars. If he was smart(obviously he isnt) he would redshirt this yr and when Sexy Rex leaves next yr, it would be Admir and Green as starters. You made a commitment to the huskers, they planned for you to be here, now you wanna leave cuz your home sick and cant get playing time right away...JUST A QUITER! Oh, and if you think OU will start you right away(dont forget your losing a yr when transfering) you will be sorely mistaken. OU already has a stud for RB...
