IPFW completed a weekend sweep of Nebraska Omaha, winning 13-7 Sunday afternoon in Fort Wayne.

Bradly Hohl's hitting streak reached 20 games when he led off the game with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and came in on Caleb Palensky's sacrifice fly. Mark Waldron then popped a home run over the center field wall for a 2-0 Maverick lead.

UNO's Scotty Donner singled in the second inning and moved to second on a wild pitch. Ryan Tomlinson doubled to score Donner and Tomlinson later came home on Colby McCord's double to put the Mavs ahead 4-0.

The Mastodons (8-17) chipped away with one run in the fourth and a pair of runs in the fifth. IPFW exploded for eight runs in the seventh. Carter DeBoe scored the first run of the inning and delivered a three-run homer later in the inning to make it 13-4 game.

Alex Mortensen's double in the ninth coupled with an IPFW error drove in two runs. Mortensen scored on Donner's single. UNO (9-19) managed to load the bases with two outs, but a strikeout by closer Steve Danielak ended hopes for a comeback.

Drew Overman (1-1) earned the win in relief and Curtis Smith (2-2), who gave up 10 runs (five earned) on five hits with a strikeout and five walks over 1.2 innings, took the loss.
