Nebraska Commits Six Errors In Loss At Northwestern

All eight Wildcat runs were unearned. Brandon Magallones (5-0) struck out 10 in eight innings of work.
Two errors by third baseman Kurt Farmer and three walks by NU starter Jon Keller (3-1) in the third put Northwestern up 3-0. The Wildcats added three more in the fourth on two hits and two more Husker errors.
Michael Pritchard started a rally for the Huskers in the the sixth with a double and scored on a single by Rich Sanguinetti, but Magallones retired Chad Christensen and Kash Kalkowski to end the threat.
Northwestern added two runs in the sixth on two hits and one Husker error. Nebraska (19-10, 3-2 Big Ten) did mount a small rally in the ninth with three runs.
