Wildcats Hand Creighton First Loss
Creighton battled the nation's No. 21 team before Kansas State claimed a 25-22, 25-18, 25-21 win Saturday afternoon at the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha.

Creighton battled the nation's No. 21 team before Kansas State claimed a 25-22, 25-18, 25-21 win Saturday afternoon at the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha.
Both teams entered the match 4-0, but K-State remained unbeaten all-time vs. CU (6-0) with the triumph. The win guarantees Kansas State the Bluejay Invitational title with one match yet to play.
Kansas State's Lilla Porubek led all players with 16 kills and .341 hitting, while Creighton was led by eight kills from Melanie Jereb. Kelli Browning and Megan Bober each had seven kills while Bober also topped CU with 25 assists and 13 digs. Creighton had 36 kills, three aces, 58 digs and seven blocks while hitting .167.
The Bluejays bounced back to beat Denver 3-1 Saturday night.
