Creighton Takes Care Of Illinois State 11-5
Mike Gerber went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs driven in and two runs scored to power Creighton to an 11-5 win over Illinois State at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Wednesday afternoon in Springfield, Missouri.

Mike Gerber went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs driven in and two runs scored to power Creighton to an 11-5 win over Illinois State at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Wednesday afternoon in Springfield, Missouri.
Shane Liska (2-4) tied his career-best going six innings, surrendering two runs on five hits, walking one and striking out six. He retired 11 of the final 12 men he faced.
Chance Ross also homered for the Jays, who had 16 hits.
The Bluejays advance to play the winner of Thursday morning's Evansville-Illinois State game at 4 p.m. Thursday.
