Will Smith struck out nine and walked only one in six innings and three relievers combined on a six-hit shutout as the Storm Chasers beat Albuquerque 6-0 Sunday afternoon at Werner Park.

The game was scoreless until the sixth when Anthony Seratelli was hit by a Stephen Fife (6-5) pitch. Johnny Giavotella later singled and Wil Myers brought them in with his 14th home run for a 3-0 lead.

The Storm Chasers doubled the lead an inning later. David Lough led off the seventh with a bunt single. Derrick Robinson tried to do the same, but pitcher Michael Antonini threw to second to force Lough. Max Ramirez singled Robinson to third. Seratelli singled in a run and took second on the throw. Lorenzo Cain then singled home Ramirez and Seratelli.

Smith improved to 3-4 for Omaha.
