Chance Ross singled home pinch-runner Shane Liska from second in the 15th inning to give Creighton a 6-5 win over Illinois State Saturday afternoon in game one of a doubleheader at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The Redbirds bounced back to win the nightcap 7-2.

Chance Ross singled home pinch-runner Shane Liska from second in the 15th inning to give Creighton a 6-5 win over Illinois State Saturday afternoon in game one of a doubleheader at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The Redbirds bounced back to win the nightcap 7-2.
The Bluejays took a 3-0 lead in the first inning of the opener on Nick Judkins' RBI single and a two-run single by Mike Gerber.
The Redbirds chipped away with a run in the fourth and tied the score in the fifth on a two-run home run off the bat of designated hitter Mike Hollenbeck.
Judkins picked up his third hit of the game in the fifth inning, putting the Bluejays back on top 4-3.
The Redbirds scored twice in the eighth to take a 5-4 lead. Pinch-hitter David Fallon blooped a single to center with the bases loaded. The Jays would tie it in the ninth on Brad McKewon's RBI single.
Michael Blatchford singled in t he 15th and came out for pinch-runner Liska, who moved to second when Jake Peter drew a four-pitch walk. Ross then drove in Liska from second with a single that landed between the diving shortstop and second baseman.
