York took the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship game from Bellevue, 3-0 Friday afternoon at Westgate Field.

The Panthers (38-17) earned the automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament opening round May 10th-14th while the Bruins (39-19) will have to wait for their postseason fate until Sunday when the NAIA announces the 46 qualifiers for the National Tournament.

York took a 1-0 lead in the third on an infield bunt single by Zach Garcia that plated Josh Nuyten, who doubled. A two-out, two-run home run by Brett Nathan in the seventh inning finished the scoring.

Junior Carrizoza (1-0) scattered seven hits in seven innings. Eric Locke (2-4) took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits with three strikeouts in 7.1 innings.
