Oakland (Michigan) and UNO battled back and forth into extra innings Sunday afternoon with the host Golden Grizzlies finally prevailing 5-4 in 11.

The Mavericks (11-30) took a 1-0 lead in the second. Dylan McGill was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a wild pitch, then scored on an error. UNO added another run in the fourth on Caleb Palensky's RBI single.

Oakland (14-25) cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth. Aaron Cieslak reached on an error, advanced to second on a wild pitch, took third on a single and came home on an infield grounder.

The Mavs took a 3-1 lead in the fifth. Mark Waldron reached on an infield single, was bunted to second base by Jeff McNichols, moved to third on an error and scored on McGill's infield single.

OU responded in the bottom of the frame. Jake Morton led off with a single, stole second and scored on John Estes' double.

Nebraska Omaha went up 4-2 in the seventh as McNichols drew a lead-off walk and was advanced to second by Connor McCrite's sacrifice bunt. Scotty Donner then dropped a single into center field to score McNichols.

The Golden Grizzlies tied the game in the bottom half of the inning, scoring two runs on two hits. Singles by Morton and Tim Ryan and a walk to Estes loaded the bases for Ian Yetsko, who was plunked by a pitch to bring Morton across. Ryan then scored on Cieslak's sacrifice fly.

Oakland won it in the 11th. Trent Drumheller singled and went to second on a wild pitch. Ryan's RBI single to center ended the game.

The win went to Russell Luxton (2-4). Curtis Smith (2-4) took the loss, allowing one run on three hits over 3.2 innings.
