The Huskers snapped Ohio State's seven-game winning streak with a doubleheader sweep, 5-4 and 17-9, Sunday afternoon in Columbus.

Nebraska (25-13, 7-5 Big Ten) used three home runs to win game one. Josh Scheffert powered the Huskers with a 3-for-6 performance as the junior homered in his third-straight game and drove in a career-high seven runs. Kale Kiser and Kash Kalkowski also went deep and Richard Stock had a career-high four hits, including his team-leading 10th and 11th doubles.

Dylan Vogt got the win to improve to 2-1 after working 2.1 innings of shutout baseball in relief before Travis Huber picked up his sixth save of the year.

After the Buckeyes took a 2-1 lead in the third inning of game two, Nebraska exploded for seven runs in the top of the fourth to take an 8-2 lead. OSU committed three errors and two Huskers were hit by pitches. NU's first seven hitters reached and scored before the first out of the inning. The Huskers added five runs in the fifth and extended the lead to 13-2.

Scheffert knocked a three-run home run in the eighth for a 17-4 lead. Brad Hallberg hit a three-run blast for Ohio State. David Corna also homered for the Buckeyes.

Scheffert ended the week going 7-for-14 with three home runs, one double and 10 RBIs to make a strong case for his second Big Ten Player-of-the-Week award this season.

Zach Hirsch improved to 4-2 on the season and picked up his second win during Big Ten play with six innings of work, limiting the Buckeyes to two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two.
