We're closing in on Christmas, less than two weeks to go and it's the final countdown to ship your presents. But how late is too late?

Business is starting to pick up at Post and Package in Omaha.

“We are much like a Santa’s elf. I don't have the pointy shoes but yeah,” said Mark Hampton.

They are busy shipping to UPS, FedEx and USPS. But it doesn’t stop there. They are busy packing and gift wrapping too.

But two weeks before Christmas and owner Vicki Fitzwater hasn’t seen a busy rush just yet.

“It's usually a little busier than it has been that last couple of days. Hopefully that's because every one is procrastinating and we're going to be really busy in the next week,” said Fitzwater.

She says there is still plenty of time to get your holiday gifts sent out. In fact, you have several options. If you choose UPS, you have until December 21st to ship in time for Christmas. USPS and FedEx will give you till December 22nd. Anything past that and there is no guarantee that the package will arrive by Christmas.

In the meantime, Fitzwater is preparing for the rush.

“We'll be busy probably starting Friday. Then Monday and Tuesday will be the busiest days of the year,” said Fitzwater.

Nationwide that's the busiest day of the year. But if you miss that December 22nd deadline, you can always send it via air. That can be costly though, the minimum starts at $40.
