Fire At Kellogg's Plant
A fire at the Omaha Kellogg’s plant Saturday afternoon was extinguished quickly but may mean a loss of product for the company.
The fire originated in one of the dryers, four stories up, at the plant at 96th and F streets. Once firefighters were able to reach it they managed to put the fire out with extinguishers. No one was hurt fighting the fire or in the evacuation.
The Battalion Chief on scene tells Channel 6 News they called the health department to the plant to determine how much of the product has to be destroyed because of the blaze and use of fire extinguishers.
A Kellogg's spokesperson tells WOWT no product was impacted and none would have to be destroyed.
