Discarded Cigarette Blamed For Starting Fire
Investigators believe a carelessly discarded cigarette is to blame for a fire Sunday morning in Bellevue.
The blaze started on a deck and extended to a mobile home at Hancock Street and East 29th Avenue northeast of Offutt Air Force Base. Firefighters had to remove the deck and work to extinguish the flames that had moved underneath the home.
The Red Cross was called in to help the family with shelter. No injuries were reported.
