La Vista police have concerns about the disappearance of a woman and are asking for the public’s help in locating 25-year-old Elizabeth Dum.

Dum (pronounced doom) is 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her red 2011 Toyota Corolla was found abandoned Wednesday morning near the Q Street off-ramp of Interstate 80.

"It’s a little bit odd with how the car was left and with some of the property left inside the car that you would normally take with you," said La Vista Police Chief Bob Lausten.

Investigators are doing a forensic analysis of her phone and computer to see if she left any messages or had communication with anyone. Her keys were still in the car.

Her family filed a missing person report later in the day.

La Vista officers along with the Nebraska State Patrol searched the nearby wooded area but did not find any new clues.

"It’s suspicious in the fact that we don’t know where she is. We don’t know if she voluntary walked away from the car or if there’s foul play involved. So we’re calling it suspicious and are going to take the cautious approach."

Anyone with information about Dum’s whereabouts is asked to call La Vista police at 402-331-1353.
