A 44-year-old man who helped a 13-year-old boy sell methamphetamine in Lincoln has been sentenced to prison.

Shane Samuelson was sentenced on Monday to nine to 19 years. He'd pleaded guilty to attempted aiding and abetting delivery of methamphetamine and three counts of forgery for stolen checks he'd cashed.

Prosecutors say the boy had been selling drugs and on Nov. 16 sold some meth to an undercover officer in a parking lot. Police say Samuelson drove the boy to the lot, knowing what the boy intended.

The boy was taken into custody. He later pleaded no contest to a drug charge and was committed to the Office of Juvenile Services for psychiatric residential treatment.
