Some of the bands set to play at the Red Sky music festival in July have been announced.

On Wednesday, July 18th, Rascal Flatts will take the stage, along with Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 11th at 11 a.m.

On Friday, July 20th, Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, and The Lost Trailers will perform. Tickets go on sale on Friday May 11th at 10 a.m.

The acts lined up for Saturday, July 21st are Def Leopard, Poison and Lita Ford. Those tickets go on sale Friday, May 11th at noon.

The Red Sky music festival will be July 18-21 in and around TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha.

More performers will be announced.

MECA officials also told Channel 6 News that there will be some changes in comparison to last year's Red Sky events.

The festival has been shortened from 6 days to 5. And the music in the parking lots/festival grounds won't start until later in the day to keep the crowd out of the noon day sun.

Last year, music began around the lunch hour. On the first day of the event, the heat index reached 114-degrees.

The festival grounds are located in parking lot B just east of the CenturyLink Center. The headliners perform at TD Ameritrade Park.
