Berkshire Hathaway isn't the only party in town. A parade in south Omaha kicked off the Cinco de Mayo celebration in the Metro.

The good times continued throughout the day with carnival rides, midway games and food too good to resist.

It also is a time where families can enjoy some old fashioned fun.

The Chacon family started with the parade this morning and was still going late this afternoon.

Sylvia Chacon says, "It's different for him he likes the rides but not very fast rides so he's going on the kiddie ones and this one fell asleep for part of the day."
Christopher Chacon says, “Because I feel like I was going to die."

Cinco de Mayo commemorates a great military victory against superior numbers. Mexican Independence Day is in September.
