The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says Lake Zorinsky in Omaha was at its normal elevation of 1110 feet on Friday. It's expected to remain at that level unless heavy rain causes the water level to rise.
The 255-acre lake was drained in 2010 after a live zebra mussel was found. The small, black-and-white-striped mollusks can clog drains and pipes, freeze up cooling systems, kill off native species and render power boats inoperable.
Drawing down the lake allowed cold temperatures to freeze and kill the mussels. The process to refill the lake began last summer. The lake reopened to the public last month.
