A University of Nebraska-Lincoln student will be leaving soon to teach English in Poland on a Fulbright scholarship.
Cara Morgenson currently works for Lincoln Public Schools as a mentor for highly gifted students and elsewhere as an after-school teacher. She graduated from UNL in August with degrees in English and psychology.
She leaves in the fall for Poland, where she will spend a year teaching English at a Polish university. Upon her return in 2013, Morgenson will return to school to complete her secondary teaching certification, English as a Second Language endorsement and master's degree in education.
The Fulbright Scholarship Program is an international education exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. The idea is to increase mutual understanding between people in the U.S. and other countries.
