And one shouldn't judge if they do see someone laughing because you never know what hell they just went through. Case and point - I have been laid off in the past several times and husband had a heart attack this weekends rain blew my fence down in several areas and my roof leaks as I'm missing shingles. I waited 7 years and when the stock got affordable we bought some and what did I do this weekend - I went to NFM and had Centurylink and smiled for a just a little while and enjoyed the perks. Sometime you just have to roll with it. Everyone at sometime has their "turn" in misfortune and it seems some more than others. Pick yourself off and get back in the game.

What on you talking about. This is not a festival of wealth, its s stockholder convention. Yes it's true there are wealthy people attending. As well, as many people with small amounts of "b" stock. Any event thaqt brings 35000 to town will be attention. Using your logic, no one should smile, or laugh or have any pleasure because someone, somewhere is suffering.

who cares if they "care'?? They are spending money. Omaha city benefits from the sales tax. The taxi drivers, retail stores, waitstaff all benefit.

where do you think Susie gets her money??. Just because he has money, doesn't mean he has to over tip. It cracks up to think people donate just for the tax break. I give $1000 , if I am in a 35% bracket. It cost me 1000 to save 350 in taxes.

Ann, it's an easy story to put together & fill time with. Just like the annual story about how 'the city is ready', right before the first snow of the season. The simplest story for a "reporter", is to go out & stick a microphone in a person's face and ask: "How do you like being in Omaha?".

Do you have an account at NFM?? If so, thank you!

Sarpy - well said. The B shares a cheaper than a family of four at nice restaurant and that's all it takes to get in and get the discounts at NFM, Borsheims and the vendors at the Centurylink. Extremely affordable. This year they could have met one of the Harlem Globe Trotters and had a bb signed and a picture with him. Geesh!

Waited 7 years to attend this event - so glad the B shares are affordable and I enjoyed the savings looking forward to more discounts throughout out this weekend. Enjoying the ride as long as it lasts.

Maybe the service deserves the tip. I actually base a tip on my beverage glass. If the glass stays full so will your tip.

and how many of those "ELITE" are b share holders. I'm sure your not complaining about the tax money the city is getting, just the fact your not smart enough to buy a share.

That would be SUSIE, not WARREN. And I am sure that Warren is contributing so much to harity because it is one heckuva tax break for him. If he knows how to make and invest money, do you think he doesn't know how to protect it? And, FYI - he is a TERRIBLE tipper.
