Over 1,300 members of the Omaha/Council Bluffs community are lacing up their bowling shoes at Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2012, to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands.

More than 30 area businesses, plus hundreds of community members have signed up fundraising bowling teams. Bowl for Kids’ Sake takes place at Maplewood Lanes May 3-5, 2012.

Currently, Bowl for Kids’ Sake has raised more than $220,000 towards the overall event goal of $250,000.

For the past three months, Bowl for Kids’ Sake participants have been asking their friends, family and co-workers for their financial support. To help celebrate their achievements, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands provides these community members with a 90 minute bowling party, featuring cosmic bowling, beverages and food, plus fun prizes.

At the start of each session, current Bigs and Littles will throw out the first ball before the participants start bowling.

On Thursday, May 3rd, sessions start at 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Bowl for Kids’ Sake sessions on Friday and Saturday (May 4th and 5th) begin at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
