The politicans should lead by example, and do away with their pensions. Good place to start is right here at home. Omaha city council recieves an annual salary of $30k, benifits and a pension, and only required to be in office once per week.(Tuesday)

Good for Kansas! It's hard to pay pensions when you run out of money. You listening Nebraska?

Well good luck on this one. If this happens it would be a miracle but the Union factions won't be standing for it. They want it all without regard to affordability.

This is what should happen for OPD and OFD. Then they can contribute as much or as little as they would like to their fund and the city then can cap at 5%. City of Omaha needs to take note and make the change quickly here!
